Security is an ongoing responsibility. We use layered safeguards, review how information is handled, and work to improve protections as RentKhata evolves. No online service can promise absolute protection, so we describe the controls that are currently in place without overstating them.
Current safeguards
RentKhata's production website, mobile app, and API use HTTPS to protect information while it travels between your device and our service.
Protected features require an authenticated account. Passwords are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes rather than readable passwords.
Tenant documents are kept in private object storage. When an authenticated account requests a document, RentKhata provides a time-limited signed link instead of a permanent public link.
Tenant and property features are protected by account-based access controls. Please keep your login details and one-time passwords confidential and sign out of shared devices.
Document uploads are limited by file size and accepted file types. RentKhata currently accepts supported image and PDF formats for tenant files.
We aim to collect and use only the account, property, tenant, and service information needed to provide RentKhata's features and support.
Please use our existing support channel to report a concern or ask how your information is handled.
